Asian Slaw
Ingredients:
1 large cabbage head, shredded (Napa)
1 cup red cabbage, shredded
3 stalks green onion, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1 package Ramen, noodles, broken
1/4 cup avocado oil
2 teaspoons sesame oil
6 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 package blanched almonds
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
dash soy sauce, low sodium
Directions:
1. Combine vegetables in a large bowl. Can add other vegetables like carrots.
2. Put broken Ramen noodles, almonds, and sesame seeds on a cookie sheet and put in a 350-degree oven for a few minutes.
3. Watch carefully, they can burn very quickly. Remove when slightly brown and let cool.
4. Mix oils, vinegar, pepper, sugar, season packet, and soy sauce to make dressing, or use Asian bottled dressing.
5. I like Annie's Natural organic Asian sesame dressing.
6. Put dressing on vegetables 10 minutes before serving
7. Add toasted items at the last minute.
